Christophe Beney
Quantitative Researcher
Christophe Beney is a mathematics graduate from EPFL, with a strong background in theoretical mathematics. Equipped with a sharp analytical mind and a deep curiosity for complex systems, Christophe has successfully bridged the gap between academic excellence and real-world financial applications.
His ambition is to design, refine, and shape the investment strategies of tomorrow, combining mathematical rigour with data-driven approaches to develop forward-looking solutions.
Christophe Beney joined MFM in November 2023, shortly after earning his Master’s degree in Mathematics from EPFL. From the very beginning, Christophe dedicated himself to transforming academic advances in computer science and mathematics into practical financial tools. In less than two years, and thanks to close collaborations with several university professors, he has already equipped MFM with powerful instruments drawing on topology, financial theory, machine learning, and statistics. The combination of these innovations opens the door for MFM to ever more sophisticated and effective investment strategies.
Christophe has a passion for outdoor challenges – he runs, climbs, and skis. But that’s not all: he is also a babyfoot champion at EPFL tournaments and a formidable chess strategist during lunch breaks. Whatever he takes on, he seems to excel at it effortlessly.
