Jean-Marc joined MFM at the beginning of 2019 as Director and Partner of the company.
He has a solid background in banking, having spent the previous eleven years working for a local private bank. There he set up the marketing department and trained in asset management. His experience as an asset manager was consolidated by the development of a large client portfolio. He was then appointed head of the asset management team for the Swiss market.
Jean-Marc holds a federal diploma in finance and investment and its international counterpart CIWM (Certified International Wealth Manager). He is also a member of the Swiss Association of Financial Analysts (SFAA) and the Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM). He has also held the ASG Qualified Independent Wealth Manager certificate since 2022.
Before joining the world of finance, Jean-Marc worked in various positions within the Ferrari and Maserati group for several years. As Marketing and Communications Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Maserati Switzerland, he contributed to the repositioning of the trident brand on the Swiss market in the early 2000s.
At the start of his career, with a degree in mechanical engineering in his pocket, Jean-Marc put his technical knowledge and human qualities to good use in a Swiss development aid project at a polytechnic in Indonesia.
Since joining MFM in 2019, Jean-Marc Gavillet has successfully developed MFM’s Wealth Management department with his close-knit team. The long-standing professional and personal relationships he has built with them reflect their shared vision of the wealth management business and the strong sense of loyalty that has united them for decades. In fact, Jean-Marc has been working with Sébastien Berthoud for over 17 years, with François Wittemer for 10 years, and with Paula Cherpillod for 8 years.
His experience in the banking sector and his rigorous engineering approach make him a professional recognized for the quality of his work and his attention to detail. His work is nearly perfect, and he expects the same high standards from his team… down to the last comma.
Jean-Marc is a person of many skills, with often unexpected passions. A former certified aircraft pilot, he is also a keen navigator. Together with his wife and children, they have renovated their house into one of the most beautiful Bed & Breakfasts in the Lavaux region, renowned for its charm. In his spare time, Jean-Marc leads a rich and committed social and cultural life.
